Testimonials

Robbie and I would like to compliment you on the beautiful renovations to the Holland house. It is truly breathtaking from so many vantage points. The expanses of windows make it seem so open and connected with the lake, and the interior spaces are all incredible. It feels very spacious, but at the same time very warm and cozy. And the upper-level deck is a magnet for peaceful viewing of the area in all directions, and was one of Robbie’s favorite places to visit. I would estimate that the word “wow” was used around 50 times during our stay, along with all of the adjectives we know like beautiful, amazing, wonderful, awesome, spectacular… Congratulations again on transforming an already wonderful vacation spot into an extraordinary living space and experience.

Best wishes,
Jack and Robbie

Gail,
Actually you have been on my mind to write you a note about the great experiences and details of your house. It is very obvious you put a lot of time and attention to detail. We loved the lighting, special pebbles in the walk, coordinated knobs and cabinets. And that was just the small stuff. The layout and space is terrific for a large group. Not to mention God's gifts of the land and lake being brought right up to the house.

Gail, We have all had a wonderful time this week at your Ventura Pines Cottage. It is a great place for our family to spend time together. Even though the weather was cool, our six grandchildren and their parents had a joyful time. Everything was delightful and we hope to be able to spend a week here next summer again. Blessings, Herb & Kate

Hi Gail, I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at your cottage. We were married on Saturday evening on the beach with 80 of our closest friends and family there as witnesses. Everyone then headed up to the bluff for dinner and dancing under the paper lantern-lit white tent. It turned out just as I had imagined it. I couldn't have pictured a more beautiful setting. Folks from out of town, who had never been to the Lake before, were stunned by it's beauty and were amazed with the cottage and it's place on the Lake. Everyone was in awe of the breathtaking sunset as the sun set in a sky filled with storm clouds, turning the sky the most amazing shades of red and orange. Later on in the evening, we built a campfire on the bluff and reminisced with family and friends.

On Sunday, we hosted a brunch at the cottage for friends and family who had spent the night in downtown Holland and next door at Evelyn's place. Although it was much cooler on Sunday morning, we all walked down to the beach to enjoy the waves and our bagels. Wrapped in beach towels, we sipped our coffee and talked and laughed about the previous night. Again, everyone was so complementary of the cottage and it's location and had explained that the wedding was the most beautiful of all the weddings that they have attended. Their complements were not a reflection of the few decorations I purchased, my dress, or the pastor's sermon, but of the natural beauty that makes up your property. The remainder of the week, my husband and I relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. We traveled to nearby towns and window shopped, tried new restaurants, and explored our surroundings. There is so much to do and see in the area that our last day snuck up on us like Monday sneaks up after the weekend. Bummer, Friday had arrived and it was time for us to head home to Texas. Although we were excited to start "normal life" as husband and wife, we were sad to leave the most unbelievably perfect property of Ventura Pines. We thank you for all your assistance prior to our week stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and we hope to be back in the future. Thanks, Gail!

Sincerely, James & Summer

Hi Gail, The pictures are beautiful! They brought back not only memories but smiles. Thank you for allowing Summer and Jim to celebrate their wedding at your home. It is a wonderful memory. The guests said it was the most beautiful and relaxing wedding they had ever attended. Thank you again, Betty, mother of Summer
